[Video] BREAKING NEWS: Trump Reacts To Mysterious Drones Flying Over New Jersey, New York

Donald Trump Claims Federal Government Knows Origins of Mystery Drones

President-elect Donald Trump stated on Monday that the federal government is aware of the origins of the mystery drones seen over New Jersey and other East Coast states but is intentionally “keeping people in suspense.”

Trump did not provide evidence to support his claim nor confirm whether he had received intelligence briefings on the matter. However, he emphasized that the government should disclose what it knows about the situation.

On the same day, the Department of Homeland Security, FBI, Federal Aviation Administration, and Defense Department issued a joint statement regarding the drone sightings. They explained that an investigation of technical data and public tips revealed the sightings were a mix of lawful commercial drones, hobbyist devices, law enforcement equipment, and even manned aircraft, helicopters, or stars misidentified as drones. They concluded that no anomalous activity had been found and stated that there was no national security or public safety threat in the airspace over New Jersey or nearby states.

Trump discussed the issue at length with reporters at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. The recent sightings across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and other areas along the East Coast have sparked concerns, particularly near military installations.

“The government knows what is happening,” Trump asserted. “Our military can trace the drones’ origins, even if they took off from a garage. They know where they came from and where they went. But for some reason, they won’t share this information. I think it’s better for them to just tell the public what’s going on.”

Trump dismissed the idea that these drones were linked to enemy activities but noted their proximity to his Bedminster golf club in New Jersey, where he spends much of the summer. He hinted at canceling a visit to the area, saying, “Maybe I won’t spend the weekend in Bedminster. I’ve decided to cancel my trip.”

It remains unclear if Trump had any plans to travel to Bedminster.

Meanwhile, federal lawmakers are urging more robust measures to investigate the drones. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer called for the Department of Homeland Security to deploy a detection system.

Rep. Mike Waltz, a Florida Republican and Trump’s pick for national security adviser, commented on “Face the Nation” that federal agencies appeared to be “pointing fingers at each other” rather than addressing the issue directly.

The FBI, designated as the lead agency in the investigation, has received thousands of tips about the sightings. Local law enforcement agencies are also actively participating in the investigation.
